VOTE YES TO RESTORE AND RENEW THE REGIONAL ENHANCEMENT MILLAGE

Headline after headline highlights the dysfunction, chaos, and uncertainty in our world—and our children’s future is at risk. This November, voters will have the opportunity to cast a YES vote to bring stability and support to our local public schools.

In 2017, after voters approved a regional enhancement millage, districts were able to invest in expanding Career & Technical Education, college prep, maintaining small class sizes, reading support, technology upgrades, kindergarten readiness, 3rd-grade reading, 8th-grade math, and more.

This November, voters within the Kent ISD boundary will be asked to restore and renew the 0.9-mill regional enhancement millage for another 10 years. Due to the Headlee Amendment, the rate had been reduced to 0.8498 mills. This proposal restores and renews the full 0.9 mills.

If approved, this will generate an estimated $35.6 million—approximately $357 per student—benefiting all local public schools within Kent ISD.

West Michigan and Kent County have a long history of supporting our public schools and students. Your contribution will help ensure every voter understands the importance of voting YES to restore and renew this critical funding for our children.

These funds are essential to ensuring West Michigan and the Grand Rapids Metro remain places where families thrive and businesses grow. Our public schools rely on this support to stay strong, competitive, and successful. Without it, we face devastating cuts—and we put the next generation at serious risk.

We need your help. Please consider a contribution to help Yes For Our Kids share the critical message of restoring and renewing the enhancement millage.
